Ferrari 488 Turbo Rebuilds
Documented inspection and rebuild solutions for 488 twin-turbo assemblies.
A Pair Should Be Evaluated as a System
The Ferrari 488 uses left- and right-side turbocharger assemblies that share the same operating history. Both turbo tags, both units’ condition, service history, symptom timeline, and visible failure evidence matter when defining the rebuild scope.
Our initial Ferrari 488 intake scope is limited to GTB and Spider twin-turbo assemblies carrying verified VU21/VU22 identification. Pista, F8, SF90, and other Ferrari applications are not represented as compatible without separate tag and scope verification.
Ferrari 488 Inspection Scope
Rotating assembly
Cartridge and bearing condition, shaft condition, and turbine-side evidence are reviewed and documented.
Compressor side
Wheel condition, contact evidence, contamination, and compressor-housing condition are evaluated.
Sealing and structure
Sealing and baseplate surfaces, housing condition, turbo tags, and paired-unit identification are checked before scope approval.
Evidence Guides the Scope
Contact marks, fractured or worn components, oil evidence, surface condition, and prior repair work are recorded as inspection findings. The goal is to define the condition of the customer-supplied assemblies without blame-oriented assumptions about the vehicle or its design.
Included in the starting price: specialist VSR/high-speed balancing for both turbochargers and new machined billet aluminum baseplates. Both customer-supplied turbochargers are inspected and evaluated as a matched system before work begins.
Pricing applies to rebuildable customer-supplied cores. Cracked or severely damaged housings, actuator concerns, missing components, or non-standard prior repairs are documented and quoted before additional work proceeds.

What owners and shops ask first
Do both turbos need to be sent?
Yes. Both customer-supplied assemblies should be inspected and documented together so condition, configuration, and paired service history can be evaluated as a system.
Can you confirm fitment from a turbo tag?
The complete tag is the primary fitment reference. Send clear left- and right-side tag photos so VU21/VU22 identification and paired configuration can be reviewed before shipping.
Is the $7,200 price guaranteed before inspection?
No. The published pair price applies to rebuildable customer-supplied cores. Additional damage, missing components, actuator concerns, or non-standard prior repairs are documented and quoted before extra work proceeds.
What happens if a housing or baseplate needs correction?
Standard pair rebuilds include new machined billet aluminum baseplates. Housing damage or other corrective work outside the standard scope is documented for approval before additional work.
How should I ship the turbos?
Contact us before shipping. Drain residual fluids, protect every opening, bag and cushion each assembly separately, prevent movement, and place your contact and project reference inside the outer box.
