Clear procedures for warranty review and returns.
Have an issue?
Coverage begins on the invoice date.
One year, original owner
The current Turbo Rebuilds policy provides a one-year, unlimited-mileage limited warranty from the invoice date for the original owner of a remanufactured, rebuilt, or redesigned turbocharger.
Coverage is limited to new parts installed during the rebuild and the labor associated with installing those parts when inspection confirms a covered failure.
Inspection comes first
A turbocharger submitted as a warranty claim must be returned for inspection. If the failure is confirmed to involve a covered part or covered labor, the failed installed part will be replaced and the associated labor re-performed at no additional charge.
If inspection finds that the failure is not covered, TurboRebuilds will provide an assessment and repair quote before proceeding.
Conditions outside the limited coverage.
Installation, operation, and condition
- Improper installation or maintenance
- Oil starvation, oil contamination, or foreign-object damage
- Abuse, misuse, modification, or end-user damage
- Pre-existing or unrepaired components
Outside work and related costs
- Disassembly by the end user
- Third-party rebuilding or modification after service
- Vehicle removal or reinstallation labor
- Shipping, vehicle downtime, or expenses beyond eligible equipment
The source policy also states that full or partial refunds void all warranties.

Obtain an RMA
A Return Authorization number is required. Contact TurboRebuilds before returning a turbocharger or requesting credit.
Prepare the unit
Turbochargers must be returned in complete form for service. Drain all fluids and remove the oil-feed and oil-drain fittings before shipping.
Credit returns
Returns accepted for credit require an RMA and must be unused. Accepted returns are subject to a 20% handling and restocking fee.
Completed custom rebuild services are non-refundable after the turbocharger has been returned. The source policy does not offer refunds for completed labor, installed parts, returned serviced turbochargers, or diagnostic and teardown services except as expressly addressed by the limited warranty.
Inspect deliveries promptly and retain the packaging.
Order issues
Report incorrect items, shortages, or order discrepancies to TurboRebuilds within three days of receipt.
Shipping is normally arranged through the preferred UPS method; other methods may be available on request.
Transit damage
Report shipping damage to the carrier immediately after receipt and keep all packaging materials for the carrier’s inspection.
Customers are responsible for sending a turbocharger to the facility for evaluation. Insured, trackable shipping is recommended. Transit damage is not covered.
Request an RMA before shipping.
Contact TurboRebuilds with the invoice information, turbo identification, and a description of the issue.
